The draw has been made for the 2020 Badminton World Federation World Tour Finals, set to start in Bangkok in Thailand tomorrow.

The tournament is due to conclude on Sunday (January 31), when the World Tour Finals champions will be crowned.

Denmark's Viktor Axelsen, who has won both the Yonex and Toyota Thailand Open so far this month in the Thai capital, is the top seed, but faces a tough group.

Axelsen has beeen drawn in Group A alongside Chinese Taipei's world number two Chou Tien-chen, Malaysia's Lee Zii Jia and Indonesia's Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.

The top two players from the round-robin group will then move onto the semi-finals to play the top two from Group B, which includes Axelsen's compatriot Anders Antonsen, Chinese Taipei's Wang Tzu Wei, India's Kidambi Srikanth and Hong Kong's Angus Ng Ka Long.

Another group of death is in the mixed doubles, with Group A featuring England's Marcus Ellis and Lauren Smith, as well as Thailand's Dechapol Puavaranukroh and Sapsiree Taerattanachai - who have won both tournaments held in Bangkok since the Asian leg of the Tour started earlier this month.

The other two teams are Indonesia's Praveen Jordan and Melati Daeva Oktavianti and South Koreans Seo Seung-jae and Chae Yu-jung.

Group B consists of Mark Lamsfuss and Isabel Herttrich of Germany, France's Thom Gicquel and Delphine Delrue, Indonesia's Hafiz Faizal and Gloria Emanuelle Widjaja and Malaysia's Goh Shoon Huat and Lai Shevon Jemie.

Another double winner this month in Thailand is Spain's Olympic women's singles champion, Carolina Marin, who is in Group A with South Korea's An Se-young, Canada's Michelle Li and Evygeniya Kosetskaya.

Group B consists of Thai pair Ratchanok Intanon and Pornpawee Chochuwong, as well as Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying and world champion PV Sindhu of India.

Men's doubles top seeds Lee Yang and Wang Chi-Lin of Chinese Taipei are in Group A with Malaysia's Ong Yew Sin and Teo Ee Yi, and the English pairings of Ben Lane and Sean Vendy and Marcus Ellis and Chris Langridge.

In Group B, Malaysia's Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik and Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan of Indonesia will be the favourites to progress as the two seeded pairs.

Russia's Vladimir Ivanov and Ivan Sozonov and South Korea's Choi Solgyu and Seo Seung-jae also feature in the group.

In the women's doubles, Yonex Thailand Open winners Greysia Polii and Apriyani Rahayu of Indonesia are in Group A with Toyota Thailand Open runners-up Lee So-hee and Shin Seung-chan of South Korea.

Malaysia's Chow Mei Kuan and Lee Meng Yean and Vivian Hoo and Yap Cheng Wen are also in Group A.

Toyota Thailand Open winners Kim So-yeong and Kong Hee-young of South Korea are in Group B with English pair Chloe Birch and Lauren Smith, Germany's Linda Efler and Isabel Herttrich and Thailand's Jongkolphan Kititharakul and Rawinda Prajongjai.
