Romania's Ana Barbosu rounded off day two with two junior titles to her name at the European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Mersin in Turkey.

Dominant throughout, Barbosu scored a total of 54.599 in the individual all-around for an easy victory, qualifying to each apparatus finals in first place too.

Behind her were two of her team-mates, Maria Ceplinschi and Iulia Trestianu in second and third, giving Ceplinschi the silver with a score of 50.499.

However, due to the two-per-country rule on the podium for the competition, Ukraine's Daniela Batrona took the bronze with a score of 49.832, having narrowly finished behind Trestianu who scored 49.866.

Ukraine's Daria Lyska was fifth while Croatia's Sara Sulekic was sixth ahead of Hungary's Kira Balazs and Turkey's Sevgi Kayisoglu in seventh and eighth.

Ceplinschi also qualified for the vault and floor tomorrow, Trestianu qualified for the bars and fellow Romanian Andreea Preda reached the beam finals.

All four - Barbosu, Ceplinschi, Trestianu and Preda were dominant in the team event, which Romania won by more than 10 points ahead of Ukraine with a combined score of 156.463.

Ukraine were a fair distance in front of third to secure the silver medal with a score of 145.995, thanks to Batrona, Daria Lyska, Viktoriia Ivanenko and Yuliia Kasianenko.

Hungary's team of five were able to secure the bronze medal by around a point and a half to Turkey, with a combined total of 143.428.

Kira Balazs, Flora Beke, Greta Mayer, Nora Peresztegi and Anna Szmirnov's performances secured the final medal.

Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovenia and Bulgaria completed the standings from fifth to eighth place.

Eight qualified for each of the four apparatus events for tomorrow - vault, uneven bars, beam and floor.

Barbosu topped the standings in all four of those events.
