The next edition of the World Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships in Thailand has been moved from January to November 2021.

Competition was originally due to take place in September of this year, but was postponed to January as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As travel restrictions affecting the majority of countries competing are still in place, the International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation (IWWF) and the Thailand Extreme Sports Association (TESA) have agreed to further delay the event.

It is now scheduled for November 22 to 28, 2021.

The Championships, which are still planned to take place at ESC Thai Wake Park in Rangsit, will be run according to 2021 IWWF World Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate rules.

The IWWF is set to continue monitoring the worldwide coronavirus situation, while the TESA will advise on event and travel restrictions leading up to the competition.

Federations will be informed ahead of time if there are any further changes.

The 2019 World Cable Wakeboard and Wakeskate Championships was held in the Argentinian capital of Buenos Aires.
