The Hangzhou 2022 Asian Games are being promoted at the 14th edition of the Chinese city's Cultural and Creative Industry Expo.

Beginning yesterday and lasting until Sunday (November 1), the event at the White Horse Lake International Convention and Exhibition Centre is one of the largest in China in the cultural and creative industry.

Hangzhou 2022 organisers have set-up a pavilion to promote the next Asian Games at the Expo for the first time.

Visitors will be able to find out about preparations for Hangzhou 2022, which is scheduled to be held between September 10 and 25 in just under two years' time.

More than 2,000 institutions from China and abroad are set to be represented at the Expo.

The event is held across six exhibition halls, covering an area of 70,000 square metres.

An online facility has also been set-up for those not able to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions.

Forty sports are on the programme at Hangzhou 2022 and more than 10,000 athletes are expected to compete.

The Organising Committee has recently made another move into business by bringing together its supporters and partners to form the Asian Games Sponsors Club.

Companies from Hangzhou and Zhejiang province which are backing the Games will join forces under the motto "collaborate change".

They will all aim to "join hands" and play to their respective strengths to ensure the success of Hangzhou 2022.
