In the SKUD class the duo of Alexandra Rickham and Niki Birrell (pictured) maintained their first place position and look on course to defend their world title although second place remains very much up for grabs.

Americans Jennifer French and Jean-Paul Creignou relinquished their second spot to the Australian team of Daniel Fitzgibbon and Liesl Tesch when they finished first in the first race and second in the second race.

The Americans finished third in both races.

Meanwhile in the Sonars, the Norwegian team of Alexander Wang-Hanse, Marie Solberg and Per Eugen Kristiansen kept their first place position with a first and third.

But Britain's John Robertson, Hannah Stodel and Steve Thomas remain closely behind in second place overall with seventh and fifth place finishes.

Bruno Jourdren, Eric Flageul and Nicolas Vimont-Vicary of France returned to third place with second and seventh place finishes.

On the 2.4mR course, France's Damien Seguin held onto first place with a second place in the fleet's only race of the day.

Thierry Schmitter of the Netherlands maintains second place with a finish in third and Paul Tingley remained in third despite an unexpected ninth place finish but the surprise package was Bjornar Erikstad of Norway, ranked 10 overall, who surprised everyone with a first place finish.

The final day of racing, now beckons in what is the biggest competition outside the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
