The World Curling Federation has called for nominations to fill places on two of the governing body’s commissions.

One position is currently available on the WCF’s Competition and Rules Commission, with another position on offer on the Governance Commission.

The WCF General Assembly also approved the establishment of a new Nomination Committee earlier this year.

The governing body said the process of forming the panel is now underway.

Five people will sit on the Nomination Committee, with three elected by member associations.

One will be appointed by the WCF Board, with the other selected by the Athletes’ Commission.

The Nomination Committee will be responsible for identifying and reviewing nominations for vacancies on the WCF Board.

It will appoint its own chair and no member can stand for the WCF Board whilst serving on the body.

Both genders will be represented on the Nomination Committee.

The WCF secretary general will attend its meetings, but they will be unable to vote.

The WCF says it is seeking nominations for the three elected positions, with the candidates set to be put to a postal ballot of member associations.

Nominations must be completed by 5pm BST on September 30.

All nominations must be signed and supported by the representatives of the local member association.

Candidates must download, complete and return the nominations form to [email protected].
