The Brazilian Paralympic Committee (CPB) has announced two training courses for athletics referees.

Today's first event will cover the rules of track and field, with the session open to invited professionals who already work at CPB competitions.

It will be taught by Brazil's international referee Claudia Schneck, with the participation of Professor João Paulo Casteleti.

A key aim will be to clarify the rule changes for the 2020-2021 season and to standardise how referees interpret various situations.

Casteleti will speak in particular about Paralympic sport classification.

The second training course on August 17 will be held in partnership with the Brazilian Association of Athletics Referees (ABRAAt).

This will be aimed exclusively at all ABRAAt associate referees.

Both courses will take place on Zoom.

As well as Schneck, Carlos Antônio Silva and Marcelo Brogno Novello will be among the other referees involved.
