Ammerlaan also leaves Belgium with a trophy after beating France's Lahcen Majdi and Japan's Satoshi Saida in the final of the doubles tournament, alongside Sweden's Stefan Olsson, triumphing 6-2, 6-2.

Another Dutch competitor, Aniek van Koot, took the women's crown to make it three titles in two months, sweeping to victory against Germany's Sabine Ellerbrock in the final 6-4, 6-1.

van Koot also beat the same opponent in the doubles final alongside home favourite Annick Sevenans, as they beat Ellerbrock and her countrywoman Katharina Kruger 6-3, 6-3.

America's David Wagner retained the quad title with a 6-0, 3-6, 7-5 win against Britain's Andrew Lapthorne, breaking his young competitor following a tense vital set to clinch the win.

Wagner and fellow American Nick Taylor took the quad doubles title against another compatriot, Bryan Barten, and Italian Antonio Raffaele 6-3, 6-2.
