The club said the modernisation process will continue until the end of October.

As part of the modernisation, the club said changes will be made to the in-run tower, while a ceramic in-run track will be installed.

A warm-up room will also be constructed close to the start gates.

"As soon as the primary renovation of the ski jump and the ancillary facilities is completed, we plan to bring more activities to the complex to make truly a year-round attraction for tourists,” said Nick Blagec, President of Kiwanis Ski Club.

"We could not have gotten to this point without the generous contributions of our local businesses, sponsors, ski jumping fans, volunteers and the dedication of the ski club."

During construction, the ski jump and surrounding immediate area will be off limits for safety reasons.

The venue has regularly held FIS Continental Cup competitions.

It is expected to host competition on February 13 and 14 as part of the next FIS Continental Cup season.
