Taekwondo Canada has launched an appeal to find individuals to sit on its coronavirus return to training working group.

The governing body says it is particularly interested in hearing from individuals with medical training, infectious disease training or other skills which may benefit the working group.

Taekwondo Canada are hoping group will feature representatives from all four of the country's regions - Atlantic, Quebec, Ontario and Western.

The deadline for applications is Saturday May 16 at 4pm Eastern Standard Time (EST), with individuals selected being notified the following day.

The group's first meeting takes place on Monday May 18 at noon EST with their second meeting at 3pm EST on Friday May 22.

All applicants must be able to attend the first two meetings, which will be conducted by video conferencing platform Zoom.

Taekwondo Canada said in a statement: "We thank everyone in advance for their applications and interest in working together to ensure a safe and healthy return to training environment for taekwondo".
