It is believed around 100 Belarusian athletes are at training camps abroad, with a second group of athletes flying in from Kislovodsk on Monday (April 6).

Preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games have been put on hold due to coronavirus, with athletes unable to train and qualifying events suspended.

The Games have subsequently been moved to 2021, with the Olympics scheduled for July 23 to August 8 and the Paralympics from August 24 to September 8.

Athletes who have already qualified will keep their place, with 72 Belarusian athletes across 15 sports set to compete so far.

Belarus has reported a total of 152 coronavirus cases, with its top football league not yet suspended in a move which has attracted a lot of attention.
