Six-time squash world champion Jahangir Khan has been handing out aid packages in Pakistan in response to the problems caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Khan is President of the Shahid Afridi Foundation, a non-profit organisation which aims to help underprivileged communities in his home country of Pakistan.

With Pakistan experiencing issues with food distribution, Khan has been handing out aid packages on behalf of the charity.

More than 100 packages have been distributed in cities such as Karachi and Kohat.

Restrictive measures have been introduced in Pakistan in an attempt to contain the pandemic, with more than 1,600 people in the country infected and 21 dead so far.

Azam Khan, a four-time British Open winner and the second cousin of Jahangir Khan's father, died from coronavirus earlier this week in London, aged 95.

Jahangir Khan holds the record for the most British Open titles, triumphing 10 times between 1982 to 1991.

The 56-year-old earned his six world titles between 1981 and 1988, before going on to become World Squash Federation President from 2002 to 2008.
