The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) have cancelled or postponed a number of continental events due to the coronavirus crisis.

The European Rifle and Pistol Qualification Championship, due to take place from May 18 to 25 in the Czech city of Plzen, has been cancelled.

It was scheduled to be a qualifying event for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which has now been postponed until no later than the summer of 2021.

The European Shotgun Championship, which was set to be held in Chateauroux in France from May 6 to 20, has been postponed, alongside the inaugural Pan American Shooting Championship.

Lima in Peru was due to host that competition from May 8 to 17. 

There are now more than 650,000 cases of coronavirus worldwide, with more than 30,000 deaths. 

ISSF have already been affected by the pandemic after being forced to cancel its World Cup event in New Delhi.
