Reigning world champion Roman Repilov earned the men's title at the Russian Luge Championships in Sochi.

The 24-year-old claimed the world title on the same track in the Russian city just a month ago, triumphing once again in a time of 1min 43.142sec.

Semen Pavlichenko was second in 1:43.366, while Stepan Fedorov finished third in 1:43.852.

Ekaterina Katnikova was another to add a national gold medal to her recent world title, topping the podium in the women's contest.

In second was Tatyana Ivanova, followed by Viktoriia Demchenko.

Andrei Bogdanov and Andrei Medvedev were victorious in the doubles competition, with world silver medallists Aleksandr Denisev and Vladislav Antonov just behind them.

Third place went to Vsevolod Kashkin and Konstantin Korshunov.
