Magdalena Egger of Austria earned her third gold medal of the International Ski Federation (FIS) Alpine Junior World Ski Championships at Narvik in Norway.

The 19-year-old triumphed in the women's Alpine combined event.

It was her third gold medal after victories in the downhill and Super-G competitions. 

Egger recorded runs of 59.24sec and 39.99 to finish on the podium with a combined time of 1min 39.23ec.

She has previously impressed on the junior stage, achieving two gold medals at the 2019 European Youth Olympic Winter Festival in Sarajevo and East Sarajevo.

Lisa Grill once again failed to better her compatriot, collecting her third silver medal in 1:39.76. 

Keely Cashman of the United States prevented an all-Austrian podium, finishing in 1:40.33 to claim bronze. 

"I love Narvik," said Egger.

"I can’t believe these results."

Competition is due to continue tomorrow with the men's Alpine combined.
