Colombia and Germany took the final two playoff spots at the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation (IWRF) Paralympic qualifying tournament in Canada.

The Germans won their only game of the day to finish third, while Colombia were twice victorious to end the group in fourth.

Colombia began the day at the Richmond Olympic Oval by beating Brazil 45-41 - a result that eliminated the Brazilians.

Germany then won an overtime thriller against Sweden, triumphing 63-62, to secure third place.

That meant the Germans would play the loser of the clash of the two unbeaten teams - France and hosts Canada.

Canada won by a 50-40 scoreline, meaning they end the group with six wins from six.

A 39-30 win for Colombia over Switzerland then meant they would finish fourth and set up a showdown with the Canadians.

Sweden beat Brazil 50-47 in the final round-robin match.

The two playoffs will be played tomorrow, with the winners booking a place at Tokyo 2020.

Undefeated Canada will play Colombia, while France take on Germany.
