Kamila Valieva of Russia claimed the women's title at the International Skating Union (ISU) World Junior Figure Skating Championships as her country topped the medal table.

The Junior Grand Prix Final champion had led following the short programme, scoring 152.38 points in today's free skate to record a total of 227.30. 

"There was a little mistake on the toeloop, but basically I am pleased with my performance," Valieva said. 

Compatriot Daria Usacheva achieved silver with 207.74, followed by Alysa Liu of the United States on 204.83. 

In the ice dance, Avonley Nguyen and Vadym Kolesnik of the United States moved from third to first place with a score of 177.18.

Maria Kazakova and Georgy Reviya earned Georgia's first medal at an ISU Championship after finishing with silver on 176.19. 

Russia's Elizaveta Shanaeva and Devid Naryzhnyy had to settle for bronze on 175.17. 

With competition reaching its conclusion, Russia topped the medal table with three gold, two silver and three bronze. 

The US were second with one gold and one bronze, while Georgia were third with their silver medal.
