The event was meant to be the penultimate stop of the season, but it was announced on Monday (March 2) that the last one, scheduled to take place in German town Schonach from March 13 to 15, had been cancelled due to warm weather and lack of snow.

The FIS is currently checking if a replacement can be found and has said it will provide confirmation on this by the end of the week.

Action in Oslo will start with tomorrow's provisional round in the Gundersen large hill HS134/10 kilometres event.

Competition itself is then due to be held on Saturday (March 7).

Looking to get back to winning ways will be home favourite Jarl Magnus Riiber, this season’s overall FIS Nordic Combined World Cup champion.

The 22-year-old could only manage a 10th-place finish in Lahti in Finland last time out.

He had won 13 of the 15 races prior to that and tops the overall standings on 1,486 points.

Fellow Norwegian Joergen Graabak, who finished runner-up to Japanese winner Akito Watabe in Lahti, is second on 1,061 points.

Lying in third place on 899 points is Germany's Vinzenz Geiger, the bronze medallist in Lahti and podium topper in the two events Riiber failed to win during his incredible run of form.
