Hosts Lithuania and France will meet in the final of the inaugural Baseball5 European Championship after winning their respective last four encounters in Vilnius.

Lithuania overcame Russia, while France beat Italy 2-1 in a tight semi-final.

The two semi-final victors have also secured a place at the first Baseball5 World Cup, set to be held in Mexico in December.

Russia and Italy will battle for the bronze medal before the final between Lithuania and France.

France were made to work hard for their place in the Championship game as they fought back to win 4-7, 6-2, 7-3.

The French side reached the semi-finals by defeating Belarus 2-0, while Italy ousted Israel by the same scoreline.

Lithuania eased to a 2-0 victory over the Netherlands and Russia proved too strong for Romania.
