Chen Hsuan-yu remains on course to win the women's singles title at the Oceania Badminton Championships for the sixth year in a row as the semi-final line-ups were decided.

The Australian top seed won her second round and quarter-final clashes today at Ken Kay Badminton Stadium in Ballarat to reach the last four.

She first dispatched compatriot Maureen Wijaya 21-11, 21-1 and then knocked out another home player in Zecily Fung, 21-14, 21-15.

All four semi-finalists are from Australia with Chen now due to take on Sylvina Kurniawan, who claimed the scalp of New Zealand's third seed Sally Fu in the last eight.

Second-seed Louisa Ma also remains in contention and will play fourth seed Tiffany Ho.

In the men's draw, New Zealand's top seed Abhinav Manota continued his progression by reaching the semi-finals.

The 2018 champion won his fourth round clash 21-10, 21-12 against Australia's Ashwant Gobinathan and then ousted Jacob Schueler, another Australian, 21-7, 21-15 in the last eight.

He will now play Australia's 16th-seed Nathan Tang in the semi-finals.

New Zealand's Edward Lau will take on Australia's Milain Lohith Ranasinghe in the other last four encounter.

Manota and Tang are remarkably the only seeded players left in the men's draw after a number of exits.

Australia's second seed Anthony Joe fell in the fourth round to compatriot Teoh Kai Chen.

The tournament continues tomorrow.
