The logo for the 2020 World University Waterski and Wakeboard Championships has been unveiled.

International Waterski and Wakeboard Federation University Commission chairman, Phil Chase, said the icons on the logo indicate the inclusiveness of both disciplines.

The event is due to take place at Sentosa Waterski Club in the Ukrainian city Dnipro from September 22 to 27.

It will be the first time that wakeboarding has been part of the International University Sports Federation (FISU) World University Championships programme.

Last October, FISU praised preparations for the 2020 World University Waterski and Wakeboard Championships after an inspection of the competition site.

Chase and FISU Championship department staff member Alejandro Guerra led the delegation on its visit, during which proposed hotels and the proposed site of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies were among the main focuses of attention.

Several meetings were also held with Organising Committee members and both national and local Government officials.

Chase claimed the facilities for the event were "world class" after reviewing some renovations.
