The rule changes will affect the period from 2021 to 2025, with the committee inviting those involved in blind football in any role to suggest changes to the current rules.

Players are particularly welcome to suggest modifications to the rules in the coming months.

The current rules will remain in place until December 31 2020 and the new rule book will be adopted on January 1 2021.

An email address has been set up for the process, with all suggestions being submitted prior to the deadline on May 31 2020, allowing the community to contact the committee at [email protected]

From June to September, all the proposals put forward by the community will be considered by the IBSA Football Committee, with the final rule book set and published on December 1, a month before it comes into practice. 

In a quote from the IBSA Football Committee they said, "We would like to encourage everyone involved in the game to take part in this process and make your voice heard for the benefit and good of blind football. 

"This is your chance to have a say in the future of your sport."

Blind football is traditionally played as a five-a-side game with blindfolded players.
