October 28 - Sport Taekwondo UK (STUK), the elite performance branch of the British Taekwondo Control Board (BTCB), has added two major non-executive members to its Board as the sport looks to build its commercial proposition ahead of London 2012 and other major international events.

The appointments are led by Jeremy Beard, who has been chosen to be the new chairman of STUK.

Beard is a partner in leading accountants, haysmacintyre, where he acts for a number of Olympic Natonal Governing Bodies (NGBs).

He has worked professionally with NGB’s for 20 years and has advised them through the significant financial changes that have occurred during that time.

The other key appointment is Fast Track’s Director of Rights Marketing, Marc Hope, who joins as an advisory, non-executive director with the task of helping steer the sport to bring in sponsors and help arise its profile with corporates, cities, Government, media and stakeholders.

With over 26 years experience, Hope brings a wealth of sports marketing, sponsorship and major events experience to the Board of STUK.

The sport also continues to be supported by KPMG, the international accountancy firm.
