World champion Arthur Bauchet was one of France's winners, coming out on top in the men's standing event in 1 min 39.98sec.

Russia's Aleksei Bugaev was runner-up in 1:41.70, while Finland's Santeri Kiiveri came third in 1:47.23.

There was also success for France in the women's standing event, which saw Marie Bochet triumph in 1:53.47.

China's Zhang Mengqiu took the silver medal in 1:54.46 and the bronze went to Germany's Anna-Maria Rieder in 1:54.69.

Britain's two victories both came in the visually impaired events, with Neil Simpson and guide Andrew Simpson claiming the men's title and Menna Fitzpatrick and guide Gary Smith securing the women's crown.

The Simpson brothers were the only skiers to finish the men's event, clocking a time of 1:50.16 for their first World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup gold medal.

Fitzpatrick and Smith, meanwhile, prevailed with a time of 1:55.30 to win their first World Cup gold medal as a duo.

Germany's Noemi Ewa Ristau and Paula Elia Brenzel finished second in 1:57.52.

Among today's other winners was The Netherlands' Jeroen Kampschreur in the men's sitting event in 1:41.03.

"I'm really eager to win and if sometimes I cannot do it in the style I usually do it - I'll just give some extra throttle," he said.

Norway's Jesper Pedersen was runner-up in 1:41.38, while the podium was rounded off by Japan's Takeshi Suzuki in 1:44.00.

There was also a victory for Germany's Anna-Lena Forster, who won the women's sitting event ahead of China's Zhang Wenjing.

Forster posted a time of 2:00.90 on a tricky and icy slalom course, beating Zhang by a margin of 8.62 seconds.
