The 39-year-old's biggest gains came courtesy of parallel giant slalom wins in Bannoye in Russia and on home snow in Cortina d'Ampezzo last month.

He is followed in the standings by Austria's Benjamin Karl with 1,720 points, while South Korea's Lee Sangho is third with 1,350.

In the women's standings, Germany's Ramona Theresia Hofmeister is the runaway leader with 3,000 points.

The world and Olympic bronze medallist has won each of the four events on the World Cup tour since finishing seventh in the season-opener in Bannoye on December 7.

The most recent of these victories came in Austrian resort Bad Gastein on Tuesday (January 14), when she triumphed in the parallel slalom.

Switzerland's Ladina Jenny is second in the standings with 1,420 points, while Austria's Claudia Riegler completes the top three on 1,400.

Fischnaller and Hofmeister also lead the overall parallel standings, with point totals of 3,310 and 4,360, respectively.
