American Paralympic champion Oksana Masters triumphed in the women's sitting sprint event at the World Para Nordic Skiing World Cup in Altenberg and Dresden.

The Pyeongchang 2018 1.5 kilometre sprint and 5km sitting gold medallist crossed the line in 1min 44.20sec to top the podium.

She was followed by Birgit Skarstein of Norway, who took silver in 1:48.03, and fellow American Kendall Gretsch.

Masters won her semi-final yesterday to progress to the gold-medal race.

Ivan Golubkov of Russia won the men's event.

He finished in 1:29.39, with Collin Cameron of Canada second in 1:29.93.

Another Russian, Danila Britik, claimed bronze in 1:35.82.
