Approving three additional members and rubber-stamping Gangwon Province as the host of the 2024 Winter Youth Olympic Games will be among the main items on the agenda at the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Session here tomorrow.

A report from the committee monitoring the International Boxing Association (AIBA) following its suspension as the Olympic governing body for the sport and updates from Organising Committees of upcoming Games will also be presented.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, International Tennis Federation counterpart David Haggerty and Japanese Olympic Committee head Yasuhiro Yamashita will be sworn in as members at the 135th IOC Session.

The election of the three officials will see the IOC membership go back above the 100 mark, after it briefly dipped below following the departure of five because of the age-limit of 80.

World Athletics President Sebastian Coe was expected to be among those proposed for membership, but the Briton has been made to wait by the IOC because of a conflict of interest.

FIFA and World Athletics have not had a member since respective former Presidents Sepp Blatter and Lamine Diack left the IOC amid scandals which enveloped the organisations.

Infantino and Haggerty's membership will be linked to their role as Presidents of their respective International Federation.

Yamashita was elected JOC President in June to replace Tsunekazu Takeda, who resigned after he was implicated in an alleged bribery scandal connected to Tokyo's successful bid for the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Gangwon Province in South Korea is set to be awarded the 2024 Winter Youth Olympics, after its proposal was put to a vote at the Session by the IOC Executive Board.

The IOC Future Winter Host Commission, established as part of widespread reforms to the bidding process for Olympic events, identified Gangwon Province as the preferred host of the 2024 Youth Games last month.

A presentation from Tokyo 2020, their penultimate update at the Session before the Japanese capital hosts the Olympic and Paralympic Games, headlines the segment dedicated to Organising Committees.

Lausanne 2020 and Dakar 2022 will also give reports.

The five departing members - Franco Carraro (Italy), Iván Dibós (Peru), Willi Kaltschmitt Luján (Guatemala), Sir Austin Sealy (Barbados) and Samih Moudallal of Syria - are all expected to be awarded with the Olympic Order.

Tomorrow's Session will be the second consecutive gathering of the membership to be held at the SwissTech Convention Center, which played host to the last meeting in June, where Milan-Cortina d'Ampezzo was awarded the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympics.
