Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi will pursue back-to-back victories as the International Ski Federation Ski Jumping World Cup season continues in Engelberg.

Kobayashi claimed his first victory of the season last weekend at Klingenthal in Germany, which helped him take the overall World Cup lead.

The Japanese star emerged as the overall World Cup winner last season and will hope a victory at Gross-Titlis-Schanze in the Swiss resort could boost his prospects of retaining the title.

But strong winds forced organisers to cancel training, which has been rescheduled to tomorrow.

Training will be followed by the qualification round, with competition taking place immediately afterwards.

The competition has been billed as a night event.

It will be the first of two consecutive events in Engelberg, with competition also due to be held on Sunday (December 22).
