Piotr Zyla, Jakub Wolny, Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki scored a total of 968.7 points to top the standings amid difficult conditions in the German town.

The Polish quartet finished 25 points in front of silver medallists Austria and 57.7 ahead of Japan in third.

Philipp Aschenwald, Gregor Schlierenzauer, Michael Hayboeck and Stefan Kraft amassed 943.7 points for Austria.

Japan's squad of Ryoyu and Junshiro Kobayashi, Yukiya Sato and Daiki Ito earned 911.0 points to take bronze.

Victory for Poland handed their men a seventh win in a World Cup team competition.

"The conditions were quite difficult today, the wind was changing a lot and you definitely needed to have some luck," said three-time Olympic champion Stoch.

"But it was a really great competition for us with the win. 

"My shape is currently pretty good and hopefully, I'll be able to show my best jumps later during the course of this winter."

An individual men's event brings the World Cup in Klingenthal to a close tomorrow.
