Kang Chae-young of South Korea will make her first appearance on the Indoor Archery World Series circuit in Rome this weekend.

The world number one-ranked women's recurve archer will represent the Shibuya RC team at the TRUBall/Axcel Roma Archery Trophy, which begins tomorrow and concludes on Sunday (December 15).

South Korean compatriot Kim Sur-in and Dutchman Rick van der Ven will also compete for the team.

The competition combines the individual results of each team’s members across the season.

American Brady Ellison, the world number one and reigning world champion, is among the other archers set to participate at the event in the Italian capital.

The Archery World Cup Champion will also be making his debut on this season's indoor circuit.

The formidable 31-year-old joins Jack Williams and Casey Kaufhold on the Lancaster Archery Supply team.

Nearly 600 archers have entered the competition in Rome, the third-largest event on the Indoor Archery World Series.
