The Asian Paralympic Committee has announced the members of its standing committees ©APC

The Asian Paralympic Committee (APC) Executive Board have selected the members of four standing committees. 

The members were selected by the APC Executive Board after National Paralympic Committees across Asia nominated suitable candidates. 

The Games and Sport Development Committee, chaired by Lesley Fung, will be made up of Niño Susanto of Indonesia, Sima Limoochi of Iran, Kunio Nakamori of Japan, Yun Seok-min of South Korea, Sock Miang Teo-Koh of Singapore and Tlebaldy Meruyert of Kazakhstan. 

Making up the Legal and Ethics Committee is chair Keng Chang Ng, Yoshihiro Matsuda of Japan, Rae Hyouk Kang of South Korea, Andy Yeo of Singapore, Aizhan Kaisina of Kazakhstan and Damir Valeev of Uzbekistan.

A group of 16 people have been chosen for the Medical and Sport Science Committee, set to be chaired by Hasuk Bae.

This includes Badrul Amini Abd Rashid, Ramlan Bin Abd Aziz and Datuk Dr Rokiah HJ Omar of Malaysia, Chan Park, Seung Hoon-han and Jae Won-lee of South Korea, and Wing Nga Chan, Lai Yin John Leung and Raymond Chi-hung So of Hong Kong.

In the Women in Sport Committee is Iran's Maryam Shokouhi, Malaysia's Siti Zaharah Abdul Khalid, Iraq's Kawther Kassar, Jeoung Bog-ja of South Korea, Nadezhda Khamitova of Kazakhstan and Aishath Nazhath of Moldova, chaired by Nasanbat Oyunbat.

All members will serve until 2023 alongside the APC Athletes' Committee. 

"We are delighted that we have received applications from such a strong group of people who are committed to using their expertise to grow and strengthen the Paralympic Movement across Asia," said APC President Majid Rashed.

"There is much to do in our region but with this talented and energetic group, I’m sure that together we can accomplish great things."
