The Russian Federation 2 pairing of Zilia Batyrshina and Nikolay Teplyy earned the skeet mixed team gold on the concluding day of the European Championship Shotgun at Lonato del Garda in Italy.

But hopes of a double were ended with the final action of the Championships as Russia’s junior pairing lost a gold-medal shoot-off.

Batyrshina and Teplyy ended up as comfortable winners in the new shooting format over the French pairing of Lucie Anastassiou and Anthony Terras, taking the title 38-32.

Britain’s pairing of Amber Hill and Ben Llewellin won the bronze-medal match against Barbora Sumova and individual men’s skeet gold medallist Jakub Tomeček of the Czech Republic, by 37-34.
