The newly renovated Kuwait Bowling Centre will host the last qualifier for this year's World Bowling Tour Finals, scheduled to be held at the same venue immediately after.

The Kuwait Open is due to take place from October 31 to November 6, and will be followed by the season finale of the 12-month series on November 7.

The 2019 World Bowling Tour Finals will feature the top three male and female athletes from the rankings list after the completion of the Kuwait Open.

Currently leading the men’s rankings is the United States' Anthony Simonsen with 2,712 points, ahead of compatriots Andrew Anderson, with 2,276, and EJ Tackett, with 2,136.

American Danielle McEwan tops the women’s rankings with 4,765 points, followed by fellow countrywoman Liz Johnson with 3,784 and Indonesia’s Tannya Roumimper with 2,350.

For the first time in the history of the series, one male and one female athlete from each of the three zones – Asia, Europe and Pan America – will also be invited to take part in the final, making the field of contenders six for men and six for women.

The zones are at liberty to determine which of their athletes qualify to take the extra spot in the finals.

The total prize pool for the Kuwait Open, a tier-one event, is $218,000 (£175,000/€197,000), with the winner taking home $50,000 (£40,000/€45,000).
