Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) treasurer Frederick Lartey Otu has been announced as the country's Chef De Mission for January's African Para Games in Rabat.
His appointment was announced by the President of the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana, Samson Deen.
Otu will coordinate the overall selection, preparation, supervision and management of Ghana's contingent at the Games.
He will also coordinate transportation for athletes and coaches during the competition, as well as ensure the proper conduct of athletes.
Alongside his role on the GOC, Otu is the vice-president of the National Paralympic Committee of Ghana, President of the Ghana Taekwondo Federation and vice chairman of the World Taekwondo Africa Para-Taekwondo Committee.
Rabat was confirmed as host of the inaugural African Para Games in April, with a protocol agreement signed in the presence of International Paralympic Committee President Andrew Parsons.
Taking place from January 26 to 31, more than 1,200 athletes are expected to compete across seven sports.
The majority of events will act as qualifiers for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
