Italians Niccolo Nordera and Sara Savelli have taken the lead in the boys' and girls' division standings after day two of racing at the International Laser Class Association Laser 4.7 Youth World Championships in Kingston.

Nordera claimed two wins and a fourth-place finish in his group at the Canadian city's Portsmouth Olympic Harbour.

It moves him to 11 points, with Russia's Dmitry Golovkin two behind in second and Croatia's Roko Stipanovic, the overnight leader, three off the pace in third.

In the girls’ division, Savelli tops the rankings after following up two runners-up finishes yesterday with one race win, a currently-discarded 21st-place finish and a 15th-place finish.
