Egypt claimed their seventh World Squash Federation women's Junior Team Championship in a row after sweeping aside Malaysia in the final in Kuala Lumpur.

The perennial champions had little trouble despatching the hosts 2-0 at the National Squash Centre in Kuala Lumpur.

The opening clash saw Egypt's singles champion Hania El Hammamy take on Aifa Azman, who narrowly missed out on a spot in the individual final.

Azman started well and took the first game but El Hammamy soon showed her quality to win three games in a row and put Egypt in front.

El Hammamy won 6-11, 11-6, 11-9, 11-3 in 40 minutes.

The following game, between Egyptian Farida Mohamed and Malaysia's Ainaa Ampandi, was even closer and went the distance.

Ampandi led 2-1 and was 8-6 ahead in the fourth but could not force a deciding match as Mohamed forced her way ahead.

Mohamed won 11-9, 8-11, 4-11, 11-9, 11-4 to spark wild celebrations among the Egyptian squad.

The previously eliminated nations completed the ranking play-offs, except Hong Kong and England, who shared the bronze medal.

India claimed fifth place after beating United States 2-1, while Switzerland finished seventh after defeating Australia.
