Logan Martin claimed two gold medals on the third day of competition at the 2019 Summer X Games in Minneapolis.

The Australian took his first victory in the BMX Park, ahead of Japan's Rim Nakamura in silver and Jose Torres of Argentina, who won bronze.

Martin then won gold in the BMX dirt event, thrilling the crowd with a huge 94.66 points score on the last of his three runs.

He overhauled compatriot Brandon Loupos, who had set a target of 92.00 points on his first effort, while Poland's Dawid Godziek won bronze with a score of 90.66.

Elsewhere, there were home golds for the American crowds to enjoy in both the skateboard big air and BMX Street events.

Elliot Sloan took dramatic skateboard gold on the last of his five attempts, having failed to set a competitive score in the final on his previous four.

At the last moment, Sloan pulled out a 91.66, enough to take him ahead of compatriot Mitchie Brusco, who set 89.66 on his third effort, but failed to score on his final two attempts.

Rony Gomes of Brazil took the bronze medal with 82.00 points. 

It was a US one-two-three in the BMX street, led by Garrett Reynolds with a score of 89.66 points

Matt Ray and Chad Kerley took silver and bronze, with scores of 86.33 and 85.00 points respectively. 

Tokyo 2020 will see the first ever Olympic skateboard competition, and Yuto Horigome laid down a marker as one to watch in his home games with gold in the street discipline.

The 20-year-old Japanese boarder won with a score of 89.00 points, with Nyjah Huston of the US in second on 88.00, while another Japanese competitor, Sora Shirai, was third with 87.00.

Moto X best trick gold went to Frenchman David Rinaldo with a score of 94.00 points, ahead of a pair of Australians – Jackson Strong on 91.33, and Josh Sheehan with 90.00.

Brazil took gold and silver in the skateboard park adaptive, Vinicios Sardi finishing ahead of  Felipe Nunes, with Mike Minor of the US was third.

Competition is due to conclude tomorrow with the men's skateboard park, women's skateboard street, and the skateboard and BMX best trick contests.
