Beijing 2022 has named Cultural Investment Holdings as the latest official sponsor of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The Chinese company has signed on as the official cultural event planning and management sponsor.
The deal was signed by Beijing 2022 vice-president and secretary general Han Zirong and Zhou Maofei, managing director of Beijing Cultural Investment and Cultural Investment Holdings, at the Organising Committee's headquarters.
Han Zirong, vice-president and secretary general of Beijing 2022, praised the company for its work on the visual effects production for Beijing’s handover presentation at the Pyeongchang 2018 Closing Ceremony.
Han also hailed Cultural Investment Holdings' involvement in staging Beijing 2022’s 1,000-day countdown celebrations in May this year.
"We do hope Cultural Investment Holdings will give full play to its strengths in cultural event planning, production and management, create rich and colorful cultural products for Beijing 2022, and showcase Chinese Culture," he said.
Zhou promised the company would "spare no efforts to help Beijing 2022 organise best cultural events in the lead-up to the Games".
Beijing 2022 has so far signed up nine official partners of the Winter Olympics and Paralympics, including Bank of China, Air China and sportswear firm ANTA.
Four others have agreed to become tier-two official sponsors, including Tsingtao and Yanjing, who have been named the Games' official beers.
