Scotland wrapped up fifth place at the Women's European Lacrosse Championship in Israel with a 19-5 hammering of Germany.

The Scots trailed inside two minutes but they came roaring back to seal an emphatic triumph at Tubruq Field in Netanya.

Jenni Aiton led the way for the Scots with four goals, while Hannah Grant and Hannah Whiteley both plundered trebles and Chess Gray and Charlie Bergvist struck twice.

Ireland finished seventh thanks to a 12-7 victory over Netherlands.

Norway and Latvia will battle it out for ninth place tomorrow after both won games today.

The Norwegians saw off Switzerland 9-3, while Latvia squeezed past Austria 8-7, leaving Switzerland and Austria to duel for 11th place.

In the 13th position group, Sweden defeated Italy 11-9, while Spain got the better of Finland 10-4.

The remaining 13th position group fixtures are due to be completed tomorrow, ahead of the final between Israel and defending champions England.

Czech Republic are set to lock horns with Wales for the bronze medal.
