Japanese employment and staffing solutions company Pasona Group has signed a one-year sponsorship deal with the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG).

Pasona, considered a leader in Japan in the HR solution services industry, becomes an official sponsor of the FIG and the 2019 World Championships in artistic, rhythmic and trampoline disciplines as well as the Parkour World Cup series.

FIG President Morinari Watanabe attended the signing ceremony alongside Yasuyuki Nambu, chief executive and President of Pasona.

Watanabe said he was delighted to work with Pasona, an official partner of next year's Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo, as the FIG steps up its attempt to enlarge its portfolio of sponsors.

"It is with pleasure that we welcome Pasona Group as a partner for our flagship events," the Japanese official said.

"The support they have offered to us will help us in the further development of our sport.”

This year's Artistic World Championships are scheduled to take place in the German city of Stuttgart from October 4 to 13.

Baku in Azerbaijan is set to host the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships from September 16 to 22, while the Trampoline Gymnastics World Championships are due to be staged in Tokyo on November 28 to December 1.

The signing of the deal with Pasona comes after the FIG renewed its sponsorship agreement with Russian bank VTB earlier this month.
