Israel had taken the lead in the 12th minute through Emily Resnick at Tubruq Field, only for England to equalise three minutes later thanks to Megan Whittle.

It marked the start of a devastating period from England as they scored a further four goals before the 21st minute to go 4-1 up.

Israel did pull one back to briefly reduce the deficit before Jennifer Simpson made it 5-2.

The home team did manage to make it 5-3 but after that it was all England as they racked up the goals.

Whittle scored four goals, Simpson three and Alexandra Drewe and Claire Faram two each.

In a feisty encounter, England were also shown seven cards.

Wales continued to match England victory-for-victory with the three-time champions beating Germany 18-5.

The Czech Republic were the biggest winners today, crushing Sweden 21-2.

Austria were also among the goals again, defeating Finland 13-5.

Switzerland beat Italy 13-6 and Ireland defeated Scotland 9-4.

England and Wales have a rest day tomorrow, while Israel will be looking to bounce back against Ireland.
