France’s Petitcollin Florian set a world record on his way to winning the inline freestyle men’s senior jump event at the World Roller Games in Barcelona.

Florian managed a leap of 1.62 metres at Sant Jordi Club.

Senegal’s Fall Dame posted the same mark but committed more failures.

Compatriot Sarr Jean Pierre Ngor came third with 1.57m.

In the women’s event, Senegal’s Awa Balde triumphed with a world record-breaking leap of 1.30m.

France’s Maëliss Cona finished second, while Spain’s Marina Oliveras, who started as world champion, came third.

The men’s slides event saw Thailand’s Phuri Senarat take the gold medal with Spain’s Enrique Rubio the runner-up and China’s Yang Huang Hai the third-place finisher.

In the women’s slides competition, Russia’s Olga Fokina came out on top ahead of Ukraine’s Bohdana Hotsko, who repeated her second-place finish from last year, and compatriot Anna Kukushkina.

Among the other disciplines in which medals were won today was artistic.

Germany claimed the precision gold medal with 61.46 points.

Argentina were the silver medallists with 52.67 points, while Italy rounded off the podium with 46.40.

Germany also had plenty of joy in Alpine competition today, winning all three gold medals on offer.

In the men's slalom, Joerg Bertsch triumphed in 49.04sec.

Latvia's Miks Zvejnieks finished second in 50.37, while Germany's Marco Walz was third in 51.02.

Elia Börsig led a German one-two-three finish in the women's event in 52.36.

Claudia Wittmann was the runner-up in 52.61 and Mona Sing ranked third in 52.90.

The icing on the cake came when Germany won the team event in 3:32.52.

Spain were 11.30 seconds behind in second, while Slovakia were 17.11 seconds back in third.
