Cameroon faced a must-win Group E match at Stade de la Mosson in Montpellier requiring three points to progress as one of four best third-placed teams.

Nchout put Cameroon 1-0 up in the 57th minute, but team-mate Aurelle Awona then scored a disastrous own goal in the 80th minute to reduce her country's chances of going through.

With one of five injury-time minutes left to play, Nchout scored an impressive individual goal to secure a dramatic victory. 

They are now due to face England at Stade du Hainaut in Valenciennes on Sunday (June 23).

At Stade Auguste-Delaune in Reims, The Netherlands topped the group with a 2-1 victory over Canada, who finished second.

Anouk Dekker scored for the Dutch in the 54th minutes before Christine Sinclair equalised for Canada six minutes later. 

Lineth Beerensteyn then grabbed the winner in the 75th minute.

The Netherlands are now set to meet 2015 runners-up Japan at Stade de la Route de Lorient in Rennes on Tuesday (June 25), while Canada play Sweden at Paris's Parc des Princes on Monday (June 24).

Sweden had placed second in Group F following a 2-0 defeat to the United States at Stade Océane in Le Havre.

The US goals were scored by Lindsey Horan and an own-goal from Sweden's Jonna Andersson in the third and 50th minutes. 

The defending champions, winners of Group, are set to come up against Spain at Stade Auguste-Delaune on Monday.

Chile managed to beat Thailand 2-0 at Stade de la Route de Lorient thanks to an own-goal from Waraporn Boonsing in the 48th minute and María José Urrutia 10 minutes from the end. 

But both teams exited the tournament regardless.

The knockout rounds are set to begin on Saturday (june 22) with Germany's clash against Nigeria at Stade des Alpes in Grenoble.
