United States’ Mariah Duran progressed to the final of the women’s street competition at the Dew Tour Long Beach event, a qualifier for skateboarding’s Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020.

The American received a score of 21.5 points from the judges at the Long Beach Convention Center to top the semi-final standings.

Brazil’s Pamela Rosa and Leticia Bufoni completed the top three, the duo scoring 20.5 and 19.6 points, respectively.

The top eight skaters progressed to the final.

The US team dominated the men’s park quarter-finals, with Cory Juneau leading their challenge.

His first run of 81.66 points proved enough to top the standings at the conclusion of the three-run competition.

Both Alex Sorgente and Tristian Rennie also secured top-three finishes due to their scores of 75 and 73 points, respectively.

Italy’s Alessandro Mazzara produced a second-round score of 71.50 to place fourth.

The top 12 skaters progressed to the semi-final stage of competition.

Both finals are due to take place on Sunday.

All three events held today started with open qualifiers.
