Hong Kong's Shek Wai Hung topped the men’s vault qualification standings on day two of the International Gymnastics Federation World Challenge Cup in Koper in Slovenia.

The two-time Asian Games gold medallist registered a score of 14.825 points at Arena Bonifika.

Belarus' Yahor Sharamkou finished second with 14.350 points, while Spain's Adria Vera ended third with 14.250.

In men’s parallel bars qualification, Cyprus' Ilias Georgiou ranked first with 14.300 points.

Kazakhstan's Milad Karimi was runner-up with 14.050 points and was followed by Spain's Joel Plata Rodríguez with 13.800.

The one other men’s discipline in which qualification was held today was the horizontal bar with Israel's Alexander Myakinin prevailing on 13.750 points.

Second place went to Turkey's Ümit Şamiloğlu with 13.700 points and the top three was completed by Israel's Alexander Shatilov, a two-time world bronze medallist in floor exercise, with 13.500. 

Women’s beam qualification saw Hungary's Zsófia Kovács, the 2017 European all-around silver medallist, finish first with 13.450 points.

Switzerland's Ilaria Käslin was second with 13.100 points, while Romania's Iulia Berar ended third with 12.950.

Finland's Ada Hautala was the leading performer in women’s floor exercise qualification with 12.600 points.

Second place went to Austria's Marlies Maennersdorfer with 12.550 points, 0.250 more than third-placed Ganna Metelitsa of Belarus.

Action is due to continue tomorrow with the first of two days of finals.
