Chile's Amaro Fica secured gold in the men's -80 kilograms category at the World Para Powerlifting World Cup in Lima. 

Fica recorded a best score of 140 at Lima’s Sport Centre 2. 

His compatriot Sebastian Castro took silver with 130, while Costa Rica's Jose Luis Lopez Mata was third on 100.

Costa Rica earned gold in the men's -88kg through Sergio Antonio Munoz Gutierrez.

He scored 120 to win, beating Ecuador's Steven Jose Cruz Mendes with 75 points. 

The 88kg concluded the World Cup event, which was being used as a Test event for the Parapan American Games in the Peruvian capital. 

Powerlifting will feature at the multi-sport competition, taking place from August 23 to September 1.
