World number one Ali Farag came from two games down to defeat fellow Egyptian Tarek Momen in the men's semi-final of the El Gouna International Squash Open.

The match at CI Capital Glass Court Arena lasted 84 minutes, with Farag winning 9-11, 2-11, 11-5, 11-9, 12-10.

Last year's runner-up will next meet compatriot Karim Abdel Gawad as he bids to go one step further.

Gawad had defeated fellow countryman and wild card Fares Dessouky 5-11, 13-11, 11-7, 11-1 to progress.

In the women's competition, top seed Raneem El Welily continued her title defence with a 12-10, 11-4, 11-6 victory against Amanda Sobhy of the United States.

It will be an all-Egyptian final, with Nouran Gohar triumphing 11-1, 6-11, 11-5, 11-4 against Camille Serme of France to set up a clash with El Welily.

The finals will take place tomorrow.
