Molten and the National Wheelchair Basketball Association have renewed their partnership deal until 2022 ©NWBA

Molten has renewed its deal to be the official basketball of the National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA), it has been announced. 

The NWBA's partnership agreement with Molten USA, first signed in 2016, now extends through until the end of the 2022 NWBA season.

"Molten feels very privileged to continue the outstanding partnership with the NWBA, the governing body, and the exceptional athletes," Melissa Dawson, President of Molten USA, said. 

"We are honored to have the opportunity to accentuate the growth of wheelchair basketball; as well as provide support to the coaches and players with excellent product and service."

In April 2018, Molten, a Japanese company founded in 1958, was named as the new global partner and official ball partner of the International Wheelchair Basketball Federation.

"As both a national team player and an athlete competing in the NWBA, this new deal with Molten provides the athletes with symmetry which can only enhance our sport across multiple experience levels," Steve Serio, who captained the United States to the Paralympic Games gold medal at Rio 2016. 

"This is a relationship we as athletes are extremely excited about for the future of wheelchair basketball in the United States.

"Wheelchair basketball and Molten have become synonymous, which highlights their impact for our sport."
