The second event of this year's World Para Swimming World Series is set to begin in Indianapolis in the United States tomorrow.

The American city will host its third World Para Swimming World Series leg in as many years, having been a stop on the competition calendar since it began in 2017.

Melbourne held the first event of the year in February, with hosts Australia dominating in the pool.

They took nine golds, 15 silvers and 16 bronze from the competition, securing 40 of the 66 medals on offer.

The Australian side will be challenged by the United States however, with America winning 26 medals at the Indianapolis event last year.

Competition begins tomorrow at the Aquatic Centre on the Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis campus.

Races include the women and men's 100 metres freestyle and 100m backstroke.

The women and men's 100m breaststroke will take place on Friday (April 5), alongside the 50m freestyle.

Saturday (April 6) will see the end of the action in Indianapolis with the men and women's 50m and 100m butterfly, among other races.

The World Para Swimming World Series will then continue in São Paulo from April 25 to 27.
