Vanuatu faltered in their reply as they could only post 36-2 from the five overs.

The result saw the Philippines leapfrog Vanuatu in the standings and confirmed Papua New Guinea as tournament winners.

Papua New Guinea finished with a flourish as they overcame Vanuatu.

The hosts restricted Vanuatu to 56-8 in a match reduced to 13 overs a side due to rain.

An unbeaten 29 from Norman Vanua saw Papua New Guinea cruise to the target in just three overs.

Papua New Guinea’s tournament success secured them a place at the men's World Twenty20 qualifier.

The event is set to be held in United Arab Emirates in October and November.
